I can't do that, but you will be happy to learn I was able to get
gmp-4.1.4 to compile and install on my Mac Mini Core Duo with the
following configure statement:
configure --host=none-apple-darwin
make check && make install
I don't yet understand it given the gmp author's comments - perhaps the
OS X environment has matured in the intervening time since the comments
were made. But with that out of the way it was then possible to build a
fully functional installation of ClamAV on the Mac and that means I can
continue to use them as email appliances and that's a good thing.
