Try editing your host table or freshclam.conf file to pull from a
specific site.
that is exactly what I did. db.northeu.clamav.net resolves to:
db.northeu.clamav.net has address 83.148.101.196
db.northeu.clamav.net has address 87.120.40.28
db.northeu.clamav.net has address 192.129.4.120
db.northeu.clamav.net has address 193.219.149.170
db.northeu.clamav.net has address 195.95.205.245
db.northeu.clamav.net has address 212.7.0.71
All of those mirrors were reasonably or very fast, except for
83.148.101.196. Which was taking forever.
Netstat also says there are 105 freshclam processes having established
connection to that host. So, obviously, the process gets stuck whenever
it tries to connect to that particular server.
I am surprised to see that nobody else has the same problem.
Is there a way to blacklist a mirror so freshclam would not try to
connect to it?
