I recently moved my clamav database from /var/lib/clamav to ~/clamsigs. I changed the clamd.conf and the freshclam.conf files to reflect the new owner of the process and the new location of the databases. All was running well for the past day or so until a new daily.cvd came out. The above error was sent as a reslut of the freshclamcron job. The complete output was:
ERROR: Can't unlink daily.cvd. Please fix it and try again. I have the below permissions set for the clamsigs folder and the *.cvd files: drwsrwsrwt 3 chris chris 4096 Apr 30 12:14 clamsigs/ -rw-rw-rw- 1 chris chris 3950054 Apr 21 15:55 main.cvd -rw-rw-rwT 1 chris chris 286938 Apr 30 12:14 daily.cvd Is it possible that when the new daily.cvd is picked up that permissions are changed? If so, other than going back to my old setup is there anyway to make this work? I made these changes because it seems like the perl script I run to update the unofficial phish sigs works when being downloaded to ~/clamsigs. -- Chris Registered Linux User 283774 http://counter.li.org 12:16:47 up 1 day, 3:44, 1 user, load average: 0.22, 0.14, 0.10 Mandriva Linux 10.1 Official, kernel 2.6.8.1-12mdk
