That is a policy decision each of us has to make. My policy is to not quarantine files, for example. If yours is a business environment then that policy may come from the legal department. HR may chime in on it too as quarantined messages may contain critical financial information and so requires special handling/storage. If yours is a personal system you can do what ever you like. If you choose to quarantine files then you oblige yourself to check them regularly, though, and history teaches that if one cannot decide quickly what to do with a file it likely has no value.
