I am having problems with clamd on NetBSD 2.02 Sparc64, in which the daemon will go unresponsive and chew up 99% of the CPU time. At this point it cannot be shut down gracefully nor will a kill -9 work. This will make the box totally unresponsive and a power off and back on is the only cure.

I built clamav-0.88.2 with the following
./configure --with-user=amavis --with-group=amavis --without- tcpwrappers --disable-cr --without-pthreads

Any suggestions on alleviating the problem or trying to catch a clue as to what is causing it would be greatly appreciated. I could if needed supply a Sun box to a developer if needed. I have been having some issues with this since 87.1, though not as severe. It appears that this may occur on a database reload.

Thanks in advance.
