I edited clamav-daemon as you said and tried to stop/start but got this error:

grep: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6.1: cannot open shared
object file: No such file
or directory
grep: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6.1: cannot open shared
object file: No such file
or directory
grep: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6.1: cannot open shared
object file: No such file
or directory
awk: error while loading shared libraries: libm.so.6.1: cannot open shared
object file: No such file
or directory
Starting ClamAV daemon: clamdgetopt: error while loading shared libraries:
libc.so.6.1: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory
/sbin/start-stop-daemon: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6.1:
cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory

ldconfig -p show:
        libm.so.6.1 (libc6, OS ABI: Linux 2.4.1) => /lib/libm.so.6.1
        libc.so.6.1 (libc6, OS ABI: Linux 2.4.1) => /lib/libc.so.6.1

The files are there. Not sure what the ENV is doing.

Thanx.
