I'm running the version from ports on freebsd. It takes a good couple
weeks to reproduce itself. It's a production machine, I generally
don't run cvs'ed versions of things. Is the cvs tree reasonably
stable enough to try?

I'll try Chuck's suggestion of limiting the number of child procs, but
I have a feeling this may only curb the symptoms rather than solve the
problem. I rarely have more than 2 or 3 clamav-milter procs running
under normal conditions. Something is getting stuck which is causing
it to continue to spawn more and more. I noticed it takes a kill -9
to kill them.

Can you reproduce it using the latest version from CVS?
