Then how about just donating $20 ??

Personally? Sure - I have made past personal donations to various groups. I was speaking about a commerical donation which is difficult when there is no paperwork submitted.

It's a barrier for us, too. But an invoice implies a contract (performance, term of service, payment schedule/terms, termination, blah blah) and all contracts go through contract negotiation and renewal. It is a legal commercial document that can and will be used in court. It's not impossible to get there but somebody'd better lawyer up.

True, however, what about little league and other forms of kid's sports that quite a few bizs donate to? I wounder how those are worked out... I volunteer for a after school program that often gets donations from businesses. What the businesses usually get is a nice letterhead outlining what their funds will go to... I know this is quite a bit different from that, however, how much 'value' is a business getting out of ClamAV? Normally we would put an advert on the robot (F.I.R.S.T. Sorry about the plug ;-) ) and the size depends on the contribution... I'm not saying Clam should do this on their site... But I see businesses gaining a lot of value. I'm trying to get my employer to donate some funds -- however, they say "heck, its free. Why should we pay?" So the people who got their employers to donate, how did you do it?
