Hello Andy/Jonathon,

I tarred up my /usr/local/ssl subdirectory, did a new ./configure & make, and my compile went fine. Afterwards, I un-tarred my /usr/local/ssl subdirectory as this was causing end users with IMAP over SSL problems.

I guess that looking back in retrospective, I am curious what ClamAV does with SSL? When I did the ./configure , I did not add any additional configuration parameters.

What does ClamAV do with SSL? And what has changed in version .90 that requires SSL? I have never had a problem getting a good compile prior to version .90.

Again, thank you for your feedback. I have ClamAV .90 with a clean compile and running on (2) Solaris 10 Sparc systems. Additional systems will come online soon.

Jerry

This means that your OpenSSL libraries aren't compiled as relocatable
objects. I'm assuming you're using gcc4 which refuses to link a shared
object that isn't really sharable.

Recompile OpenSSL with CFLAGS=-fPIC, or use the Sun supplied ones in
/usr/sfw[/sparcv9] and that should solve the problem. If you're still
having problems consider using the compiled binary packages from
http://clamav.citrus-it.net/ - they are compiled natively on a Solaris 10
64-bit machine.

I'm not actually sure why OpenSSL is being linked in, it isn't in my
environment..
