Hello guys,
I'm using Clamav 0.92 installed from the Debian Volatile repository.
on a Debian testing distro kernel 2.6.22-3-686 kept daily updated.
Running ClamTk I get the following message on a dialog box:
Warning:
Your virus signatures are 139 days old!
When I run from the terminal:
~$ su -c "clamtk"
and select "Update Signatures" from the Help menu, I get a message
confirming that the update process has been successful.
Here is the output from the "System information" menu:
Build: ClamAV 0.92/5385/Sun Jan 6 02:13:06 2008
Signatures: 148100
(20 Aug 2007)
GUI Version: 3.05
Starting ClamTk once again, however, gives me the same warning as before
[virus signature 139 days old!].
Running freshclam from the terminal as super user with the --verbose
flag I get:
Current working dir is /var/lib/clamav/
Max retries == 5
ClamAV update process started at Sun Jan 6 09:31:16 2008
Querying current.cvd.clamav.net
TTL: 42
Software version from DNS: 0.92
main.cvd version from DNS: 45
main.cvd is up to date (version: 45, sigs: 169676, f-level: 21,
builder: sven)
daily.cvd version from DNS: 5385
daily.inc is up to date (version: 5385, sigs: 18552, f-level: 21,
builder: ccordes)
So my asking is:
Am I missing anything or the virus signature is really as old as 139
days?
Thank you for your help,
regards.
Alessandro Volturno
