i want folks to know i'm also seeing these same sorts of errors on mac
os x 10.5.5 (leopard), all current apple security updates, on a
macbook intel core2duo 2.16 GHz, 2 GB of ram, xcode 3.1.1, and using
gcc 4.2.1.
my make line i try is: $ make CC=/usr/bin/gcc-4.2
here are the errors i see (also with libclamunrar.la) —

here's the thing — i also have tried "$ locate libclamunrar," and when
i do, it finds it, both versions 4 & 5, in *both* the /usr/local/
clamXav/lib/ and in the ... /.libs/ ... where you folks say it should
be, as well as other places —

so how do i look up and stay notified on this bug #1162 that james
filed? is there a chance of getting this fixed? or is there some
workaround or way to compile with the "make" that i'm not doing right
or missing here? please advise. sorry for the nØØb questions, i'm
new to the list, but i did take the trouble of searching and finding
this similar thread before posting my problem. thanx in advance.
sincerely,
