The clamav-milter works fine with postfix version 2.5 and newer (for best results, use the most recent patch level of postfix).

If all you need is virus scanning, the milter works well and is easy to set up.

If you want more features, such as SpamAssassin integration, DKIM signing/verifying, etc., amavisd-new is robust, flexible and well supported.
