Greylisting is very resource light.  It's done before the "data" stanza in
smtp, so it cuts down on the over traffic flow in addition to processing (no
need to check RBLs or parse the message before deciding to delay the
message).

Greylisting got rid of 80% of my spam, most of which was caught by
spamassassin anyway, but that's 80% I didn't have to run through
spamassassin before discarding.
