I'm attempting to use clamav on a CentOS 5 system; however, clamd is
segfaulting immediately.
Here are the details:
[r...@srv2 clamav]# uname -a
Linux srv2.ansa-usa.com 2.6.18-128.4.1.el5 #1 SMP Tue Aug 4 20:19:25 EDT
2009 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
[r...@srv2 clamav]# cat /etc/redhat-release
CentOS release 5.3 (Final)
[r...@srv2 clamav]# rpm -qa | grep clam
clamav-0.96.2-1.el5.rf
clamav-db-0.96.2-1.el5.rf
clamd-0.96.2-1.el5.rf
[r...@srv2 clamav]# service clamd restart
Starting Clam AntiVirus Daemon: LibClamAV debug: Initialized 0.96.2 engine
---- other debug lines removed ----
LibClamAV debug: Module BYTECODE On
LibClamAV debug: * Submodule INTERPRETER: On
LibClamAV debug: * Submodule JIT X86: On
LibClamAV debug: * Submodule JIT PPC: On
LibClamAV debug: * Submodule JIT ARM: ** Off **
/bin/bash: line 1: 19869 Segmentation fault clamd
I've also tried to disable the Bytecode option in clamd.conf, but clamd
still segfaults at the same location. Any suggestions as to what is
causing this?
Thanks,
Joshua
