we are using version 2 to pull the sigs from Google's servers and push them to our mirrors, but our re-implementation of the download client is not perfect yet and from time to time we have some issues. We tried to use the reference implementation provided by Google but last time we checked it was exiting with a syntax error. We sent a bug report but didn't get any reply yet. Sorry for the lack of sb update. In the next few days I'll add some more checks to try to detect whenever the updating process gets stuck.
