I have found a configuration setting in the daemon that sets a frequency for invoking freshclam so I now know that it is being controlled by the daemon. I'm still hoping for an explanation of what these .conf settings do, specifically whether associated with updating databases or more along the lines of integrity checks. "Perform a database check" in clamd.conf "Number of database checks per day" in freshclam.conf Brian Fluet _______________________________________________ clamav-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.clamav.net/mailman/listinfo/clamav-users Help us build a comprehensive ClamAV guide: https://github.com/vrtadmin/clamav-faq http://www.clamav.net/contact.html#ml
