Please explain why you think this is needed. For something like ClamAV I would generally recommend installing from source if it's possible. There's a section on Redhat and CentOS in the ClamAV documentation: https://www.clamav.net/documents/installation-on-redhat-and-centos-linux-distributions Did you try it? If so what problems did you find? For CentOS 6 there's also a ClamAV EPEL repository: https://centos.pkgs.org/6/epel-x86_64/clamav-0.100.3-1.el6.x86_64.rpm.html Did you try that? Again, if so, did you have problems with it?
on Centos 6.10, but it fails to install the clamav-scanner-systemd package, but works for Centos07.
In your first post to this list, you said "I have a number of questions regarding usage of ClamAV to investigate to ensure it meets our security, alerting and incident requirements ..." Please see https://wiki.centos.org/About/Product Does a Linux distibution with four full days left to live meet those same security, alerting and incident requirements? -- 73, Ged. _______________________________________________ clamav-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.clamav.net/mailman/listinfo/clamav-users Help us build a comprehensive ClamAV guide: https://github.com/vrtadmin/clamav-faq http://www.clamav.net/contact.html#ml
