We currently have no plan to change anything that will break the existing signature format. Once a version has reached EOL we stop testing new signatures with those versions.
It is possible but highly unlikely that new signatures may cause older version to stop functioning. We will eventually block 0.103, 0.104 and 0.105 versions from downloading updates in the same way that 0.102 is currently blocked. We recommend updating to the most current version to continue to have the best results. Acknowledging that one would be completely on his own for security issues and bug fixes, there should be no technical problem with using signatures downloaded using a newer version of freshclam... until there is. Is this the date that a breaking change (newer type of signature or whatever) will be included in the signatures, or just the date after which you can expect that to happen randomly / without warning? _______________________________________________ Manage your clamav-users mailing list subscription / unsubscribe: https://lists.clamav.net/mailman/listinfo/clamav-users Help us build a comprehensive ClamAV guide: https://github.com/Cisco-Talos/clamav-documentation https://docs.clamav.net/#mailing-lists-and-chat
