We currently have no plan to change anything that will break the existing 
signature format.
Once a version has reached EOL we stop testing new signatures with those 
versions.

 It is possible but highly unlikely that new signatures may cause older version 
to stop functioning.

We will eventually block 0.103, 0.104 and 0.105 versions from downloading 
updates in the same way that 0.102 is currently blocked.

We recommend updating to the most current version to continue to have the best 
results.

Acknowledging that one would be completely on his own for security
issues and bug fixes, there should be no technical problem with using
signatures downloaded using a newer version of freshclam... until
there is. Is this the date that a breaking change (newer type of
signature or whatever) will be included in the signatures, or just the
date after which you can expect that to happen randomly / without
warning?
