AFAIK, the clamAV service should run clamd as a process under it. You might get Process Explorer from sysinternals so you can see for sure. Another thing you might check is whether clamd.exe runs from the command line. If the configuration file has errors, it won't run at all, and therefore won't run as part of the service. Bret
