Third ISKO-Spain and Portugal Conference/ Thirteenth ISKO Spain Conference, 23rd-24th November, 2017, at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Coimbra, Portugal.
The theme of the conference is "Current trends and future perspectives in Knowledge Organization". This will be a privileged for the dialog and reflection on the new needs and trends in Knowledge Organization, showing experiences and feasible solutions that are capable to deal with the different challenges and opportunities of the present time. Proposals must be on any of the following subthemes: Epistemological perspectives in Knowledge Organization (papers on the epistemological perspectives in Knowledge Organization) Professional training and development on Knowledge Organization (papers on aspects related to training in Knowledge Organization and the professional perspectives and challenges in a digital context) Research perspectives in Knowledge Organization and Representation: present and future trends (papers on the research in Knowledge Organization, especially related to the digital context, human rights, and environmental issues. Challenges in organization and access to cultural heritage (papers on Knowledge organization and access to cultural heritage) The deadline for proposals (extended abstracts of 1000-2500 words) is April 2.
