Hi all,

The Centre for Change and Complexity in Learning (C3L) at the University of 
South Australia is looking for an Associate Director (Associate Professor 
Level). The focus of the role is on providing strategic and operational 
leadership in research activities in the domain of Learning Analytics, 
Educational Data Mining, and Artificial Intelligence in Education. The position 
is a five-year contract on the level of Associate Professor (Level D) and based 
at UniSA City West campus in Adelaide's CBD.

Closing date is Feb 2, 2020.

Selection criteria:

  1.  A PhD qualification in a relevant area such as computer science; 
artificial intelligence, machine learning; data science; or learning analytics.
  2.  Demonstrated ability to create and lead high-performing and productive 
research teams, including collaboration with researchers from other national 
and international universities/research entities.
  3.  Evidence of attracting diversified research income from competitive 
grants, government bodies and industry in Australia or equivalent 
internationally.
  4.  Sustained track record of research leading to high-quality publications 
with clear evidence of senior authorship in areas such as learning analytics, 
applied AI, data science, educational psychology
  5.  Established record as a principal supervisor of successful HDR student 
completions.
  6.  Proven ability to engage and establish strong links with relevant 
industry and community bodies, with evidence of outcomes from these 
partnerships.
  7.  Evidence of sustained contribution to the professional development of 
other staff, including leadership in mentoring
