Actually I hadn't thought of putting it in classpath until I saw your
note :-).
I sent a preliminary version of my patch to java-patches yesterday,
take a look if you like. I'm still working the bugs out though.
Thanks.. if it's OK with you I'll commit this now just so we have
a temporary fix (also it's pretty small). Feel free to rip
it out if/when you merge your stuff over.
