A further study shows that an invalid value of file.encoding being treated as if it were "ISO-8859-1" is not necessarily the behaviour of Sun's JDK. It seems that Japanese version of Sun's JDK "1.4.2_08" on MS Windows does not respect the setting of file.encoding and its default encoding is always "MS932". _______________________________________________ Classpath-patches mailing list Classpath-patches@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/classpath-patches
