Perhaps everyone already knew this; perhaps it's already been
discussed; but Stuart let me know that our Objects have to be serialized in
the Sun format to be compatible (this is fairly obvious in retrospect, but
an annoying pill to swallow). Just a reminder: anyone who writes a
serialized Object, don't forget to implement readObject() and writeObject().
java.lang and java.util come to mind as two definite candidates.
