Don't wait for a bug report. None of the i18n bugs I reported back
when I was doing java.lang.Character and java.util.Locale ever
resulted in a bug number being sent back to me. In fact, its been
well over a year since Sun has sent me a bug tracker number for any of
my reported bugs.

Whenever possible at Sun, always send comments/design
changes/important bug fixes to the actual group working on the
particular feature you're emailing about. The smaller the group, the
better your chances of a prompt reply/fix. For example, I suggested
numerous design changes for JNDI, all of which were accepted and
integrated into the 1.0 release. (The JNDI group at Sun is a great
group of people.)
