Are you going to check in the vm/japhar tree? If vm/reference is the
'japhar' example then the stuff in CVS must be out of date with what
you have since it doesn't compile. I've included below the only major
problems I'm having with generating a build of the java stuff other
than the vm/reference, which looks like problems in
java.io.Object*Stream. Probably 1.2isms, but I've not checked.
../java/util/Hashtable.java:618: No method matching writeFields()
found in class java.io.ObjectOutputStream.
s.writeFields();

../java/io/ObjectInputStream.java:386: Wrong number of arguments in
constructor.
throw new WriteAbortedException( "Exception thrown during
writing of stream", e );
