Classpath is being initially (and primarily) developed for UNIX platforms. At some point I expect there to be interest in 'porting' the native stuff to work with Windows. To date, no one is working on that since creating a release which can be banged on and tested is more important at this point. If you can't find cvs for your platform and use it then Classpath is probably not ready for you either. A release should be available later this year which might be more suitable for you if you are using some UNIX like OS and Japhar.
