Serialized form bug

JDC bug # 4180839 deals with the absence of serialized form information
for non-public classes.

I think this bug needs some votes! Classpath can never be
serialization-compatible until it is fixed. I can't decide whether the
"evaluation" comment means that it is hacked-around already, but either
way, it is important.
