Well, The automake manual says you can have as many nested conditionals as you want in the Makefile.am, however in practice I've found that is not the case, at least not once configure does its thing to produce a Makefile. Don't know which program is goofing up either. In any case to make this simple, I'll just transform the nested ifs into single and definitely exclusive if statements inside of configure.in. If anyone doesn't like this hack and can fix the problem with automake/autoconf let me know. Btw, we've been getting freezing rain here all day long and it is supposed to not let up until sometime tomorrow. Hope everyone has a good Xmas and I'll be back to coding again after the weekend!
