I think we can include standard extensions. Part of the worry is that
an update to the extensions means we need to release an update to the
core libraries. When the core libraries are finalized into an ISO
spec and we comply with the spec, then we shouldn't have to release
again, maybe, but standard extensions are likely to evolve for a very
long time as new technologies arrive on the scene.

That's a good idea. Paul Fisher, one of our project leads, also has
something of a servlet library once called OSL. I'll place a copy I
have on Classpath's ftp site. The code is LGPL, and is now owned
solely by Paul F. You may want to look at using that as a base as
well, don't know.
