Major Build Failures

java.util is uncompilable.  AbstractList and Collections bomb bigger than
life.  Stuart, could you look into getting all your latest changes in?  If
not, I'd like to fall back to the previous release before you accidental
checkin.  (Of course, I don't know how to do that in CVS ....)
