For those who don't know, the preferred way to write tests is to use the
Mauve framework. Mauve is a collaborative effort between various free Java
projects to produce a free replacement for the Java Compatibility Kit.
Check out the Mauve homepage at:

http://sourceware.cygnus.com/mauve/

There is a mailing list available. See the site for details. Code is
available via anonymous CVS. Few documents are available, but writing tests
is easy. See my java.io tests for examples. The are in gnu/testlet/java/io
in the Mauve archive. If anyone has problems writing these, ask me for
help. You might want to check the archives before writing one as well,
since somebody else might already have done it! I know that the Kaffe
people are planning to start converting their tests soon, for example.

I have commit access to the Mauve archives. For the time being, you can
send new tests to me, or post them to the Mauve mailing list, and I will get
them added. Cygnus is setting the policy for CVS accounts, but if you are
going to be a major contributor of test cases, it should not be too hard to
get you can account.
