Yes. The GTK+ peers are built using the most current unmodified GTK+
CVS tree. We should work fine with GTK+ 1.2 (minus full i18n support,
which won't happen until 1.3).

We've been doing all of our development under the JDK -- mainly
because it's easy to switch back and forth between Sun's Motif
bindings and our GTK+ bindings.
