There are not legal problems, only technical ones.  Some of Classpath works
with the JDK.  Our networking code for example.  However, we have never been
able to get various parts of Classpath (java.io, for example, and certainly
java.lang) to work at all with the JDK.  Core dump city.  I don't think we
will ever be able to integrate with the JDK.  In theory, if someone looked
at Java2 source, they might be able to figure out what is possible and
document what it is necessary to do.  However, this would be tricky legally
and should not be done without a good understanding of Sun's licensing
agreements.
