Not being familiar with the NPL but having heard a few conversations
about GPL, I am somewhat confused.
Can GPL'd things be shipped as a *subsystem*? For example, can SuperOS
ship gcc with their OS without having to have any of their OS subject
to any restrictions because of GPL?
Similarly, couldn't NS release anything using Kaffe as a subsystem
without subjecting the rest of what they wrote to GPL?
Perhaps saying embedding Kaffe *source* would be hairy, but Kaffe
*binaries*?
