I decided not to put out an alpha of the GTK+ peers in their state as of a couple of weeks ago. Instead, I've been working on some major design changes w.r.t. setting properties, finishing up image support, and getting the peers integrated into the build environment. After I get SwingSet and HotJava up and running, I'll put out a binary distribution of the GTK+ peers. Until then, it's actually possible to build/use the peers from the normal Classpath source tree -- although setting up one's environment after the build is a bit more complicated.
