        decaf runs well enough to run a keyboard and console driver on
bare i386 metal, in its tarball (1f?) distribution.  The stuff in the CVS
has been redesigned to make it easier to write in the classpath
integration, but the rewrite isn't done yet, so it doesn't do all that
much right now.
