That sounds great!! I've been doing a little work on libgcj's AWT
recently (I'll probibly do a checkin in the next couple of days).
Getting libgcj's AWT going is going to take a while but I don't think
its a wasted effort - I'm starting with the JDK 1.3 API, where as
classpath only has a partial 1.1 implementation. Hopefully one day this
silly licencing buisness will be resolved and we can merge the libgcj
implementation back into classpath.

Yes!! Note that we ARE able to use classpath's GTK peer classes in
libgcj, so if you have written CNI versions of the GTK peers then these
will certainly be a valuable contribution.
