At the end of May, I finally finished up a BS in Computer Science at
NC State University. Since that time, I amicably parted with Red Hat
and took about a month off to goto USENIX and visit some friends out
in Portland, OR. I'm now working for Transvirtual (TVT) and living in
Berkeley, CA.
The end result is that I'll have more time available to work on GNU
Classpath and to further the end goal of a complete and free
implementation of Java. I'll still be in close contact with Tom
Tromey and the rest of the Java guys at Red Hat, and I'll be
continuing work on the merger with libgcj.
I only arrived here in Berkeley a few days ago, and so I'm not quite
settled in yet. An apartment still needs to be found, and then all my
stuff needs to be shipped out (including my home computer). Things
will be a little hectic for the next couple of weeks, but I'm greatly
looking forward to the work that I'll be doing here at TVT.
If any of you live in the bay area, please drop me an email.
