It seems to me that it is a mistake for Classpath to use Latin-1 as
the source encoding of files. I recommend replacing the Latin-1
characters with the equivalent \u sequences.
Long term I'd like to have the local definitions compiled using a
(yet-to-be-) hacked variant of glibc's locale compiler.
