Yes, we do control gnu.java and gnu.javax according to web pages at gnu.org. I don't think we need both those and gnu.classpath though. As Bryce mentioned it should be consistent in libgcj too. I spoke too harshly; I thought it would be nice to move everything under gnu.classpath and no longer use gnu.java*. Making the package name changes wasn't high on my list of priorities.
