I didn't realize that they still accepted presentations. Sascha and I made an abstract about a possible GNU Classpath talk which I send to two people from Fosdem. Since the talks were already announced on the Fosdem website I hoped to sneak it in as an unofficial talk. Knowing that there is still time to do a real abstract submission I am happy to discuss the current abstract and/or submit it properly. But I am not sure that the embedded track is to correct forum for GNU Classpath related stuff. Fosdem people are kind of hard to get hold off. Tried sending email to several addresses, but only yesterday got a small response. I did tell them that we are expecting at least 10 people already so that it would be nice to have a developer room were people can meet/hack/discuss. Will let you know if I get any reply. They said there would be a meeting next week to discuss Fosdem planning and requests from the community. So please try to contact them with ideas soon. > I'd also like to have an item on the > standardisation issue : by the time FOSDEM comes, either we will have some > positive news or a lot of bitching to do. ;> Richard Stallman recently asked about the JSPA and the JSR process. We are still discussing it. If we reach a conclusion I will email the list. If people have experience with the JSPA or serving on a JSR expert team and know what to expect from the process in regards to creating specs and/or software that is free software (friendly) I would like to hear.
