This is the same problem I'm having and our TAC engineer was clueless (and is on vacation this week and refused to forward my TAC to another engineer.) The problem is we ONLY allow McAfee AntiVirus Enterprise to get on our network.

We are running 4.1.3 in IB real-IP gateway mode, and we require the use of the agent. Most of the PCs have been XP, but a couple are Vista. In all cases it has turned out to be a problem with the AV software, and when that was replaced, the problem went away. However, in that case I would have expected some message from the agent relevant to that. Has anyone else seen a problem like this?
