I have two Windows Vista Home Premium clients failing the windows update
checks (using the Cisco supplied rule set) on CCA 4.1.2.0 (Agent and
Server):
* Failed Checks:
pc_MSXML3_MS07-042_Vista, File Check [$SYSTEM_32\msxml3.dll
later than [C]08/13/2007 00:00:00]
pc_vista64, Registry Check
[\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wow6432Node\ exists ]
pc_MSXML6_MS07-042_Vista, File Check [$SYSTEM_32\msxml6.dll
later than [C]08/13/2007 00:00:00]
pc_MSXML6r_MS07-042_Vista, File Check [$SYSTEM_32\msxml6r.dll
later than [C]08/13/2007 00:00:00]
pc_MSXML3r_MS07-042_Vista, File Check [$SYSTEM_32\msxml3r.dll
later than [C]08/13/2007 00:00:00]
These files have a date of 08/02/2007 on at least one of the systems.
The client is using the English regional settings and is up-to-date
according to Windows Update. I updated the Clean Access server yesterday
but the problem persists. I have a case open with Cisco but wanted to know
if anyone else has seen this. I'm hesitant to just manually 'install the
patch' in case we have more of these.
