Bruce,
I'm actually looking to see if it's possible to access the information from a custom script using the API (cisco_api.jsp), not the CAM user interface. (I'm sorry if my question wasn't clear.) But thank you for the response! -Ryan From: Cisco Clean Access Users and Administrators [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Osborne, Bruce W. Ryan, You can either use the Search For: dropdowns (Description equals/starts with/contains) or you can click on the Description header to sort the filters by Description. Hi all, When using the API, is there a way to look up a device filter by the description field? I'm using 4.0.5. I'd like to be able to put someone in a "notification" role (by using a MAC filter). When the user is in this role they will be redirected to a page with a message. This page will also have a button that says something to the effect of "I've read this message" and then once that button is clicked, the filter is deleted (returning them to normal usage). I'm using the "removemac" API function to remove the device filter. Everything works great, except I'm not sure how I'm going to find the correct MAC to pass to that function. My understanding is that when someone is placed in a role with a MAC filter, they will not show up in the "Online Users" list, so I can't use the "getuserinfo" API function to find the MAC. But if I can look up a filter based on the description field, I think I can swing it. ..or does anyone know of a better way?
