I guess it depends on a lot of things.

The Cisco provided Checks did not require SP2 for a Very long time.
(Someone check this, I don't even think SP2 is required now).  I would
imagine this would repeat for SP3.

The WSUS requirement depends on what windows update does, or what your WSUS
server is configured to do.
