So we are experiencing some issues that we cannot figure out.  Numerous
students are calling stating they are getting kicked off after 5 minutes of
use and cannot get back on until they reboot.  What we have learned so far
is the following.

 

1.       Computer has a valid IP

2.       Continuous ping works

3.       Successful login to CCA

4.       After approx 5 minutes pinging replies stop

5.       Agent shows NO disconnect or logout message, but login option is
grayed out

6.       IP still valid

7.       Unable to ping, browse web or login to CCA

8.       Release/renew, or reboot, seems to enables network traffic again

 

We are running 4.1.3 on the servers and 4.1.3.1 on the Agent.  So far it is
limited to Windows (all flavors).  We have not received calls from Mac users
yet.  This sounds like the ARP issue experienced at the beginning of the
semester.  We are running In-band Real-IP Gateway.  We have 2 pairs of HA
servers and are looking into whether it is 1 server pair or both.  We turned
off our heartbeat timers and also increased them to a much higher value than
5 minutes in case this was the issue, and neither solved it.  We also
disabled any certified device timers we had and that didn't help.  The
default lease time is 7200 seconds so that doesn't appear to be the issue
either.  

 

If anyone can suggest anything for us to look at we are open to any
suggestions.
