David,

Failed check KB923789 is an issue with Adobe Flash Player. The workaround is to
uninstall the flash player using Adobe flash uninstaller and reinstall the
latest flash player and patches.

I am seeing the same basic error but with a different KB number. This machine
installed XP with SP2 slipstreamed then immediately installed SP3 followed by
windows updates. This is Not a SP2 machine with all the udpates applied then to
SP3 update machine. That may be part of the equation.
