We are not a University, but we use Tipping Point IPS units with P2P
filters set to Block P2P traffic. It also have the ability to shape
traffic as well.

Subject: Traffic Shaping

I know this is a little off-topic, but is anyone willing to share what
technology their university is using to thwart P2P and/or shape internet
traffic?? We own a Packeteer Packetshaper 2500 that has been deemed
EOS/EOL and we are looking into alternatives.

Thanks
