CCA 4.1.3.1, Real IP Gateway, CAS as the DHCP server, 3600 seconds for lease
time.
Don't ignore the Session and Heartbeat Timers. User Management > User Roles >
Schedule I'd share what those times are, but they are not purely based on best
practice or common sense, politics are involved! :)
Considering these days everything has a wireless interface, any device in range
of an AP will pick up an IP address whether they use it or not. I have to over
allocate IP addresses to ensure people trying to use the wireless network can
get an IP address.

Subject: Re: DHCP Lease times with CCA

We have a similar setup and have our lease time set to 3600 seconds.

Cal Poly, SLO uses CCA for our wireless on campus. We are currently running
inline and using DHCP passthrough. We use only valid IP Addresses for our
users. We are currently running Cisco 1200 series AP's in thick mode.

I was wondering what length lease times people use for DHCP? We trying to
ensure we have enough IP addresses to support the hourly churn rate of most
locations, and make sure we're keeping CCA's ip-user-MAC databse in sync with
DHCP.
